It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our colleague and friend Colin Luger who passed away on Sunday 20th September 2015 from cancer.
Colin worked for over forty years helping safeguard children in statutory and voluntary settings as well as the last fifteen years in private practice. Together with Susie Essex and John Gumbleton, Colin created the Resolutions approach for working with parents who dispute harming their children. Over many years the Resolutions approach has become well known and respected in the UK and around the world, due in no small measure to Colin’s enthusiasm and professionalism. As well as being a highly skilled practitioner Colin was one of the nicest men one could hope to meet. He was intelligent, calm, and friendly with a good sense of humour and was liked by all. Colin leaves a legacy of exemplary practice helping children and families reunite safely.
Also a passionate astronomer he leaves his wife Sue with whom he was about to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary and two adult children Becca and Ben not forgetting as a well a small black cat called Otis.
Our thoughts are with them all.
John Gumbleton and Susie Essex
