Biografie is alleen beschikbaar in het Engels
Jo qualified as a social worker in 1998 and has been a frontline practitioner and manager involved in child protection throughout this time. She has experienced a variety of roles which has given her a breadth of experience in areas such as policy development as well as a Family Group Conference Co-ordinator and social work Team Manager.
Over a two year period she was the strategic lead for the implementation of Signs of Safety into Swindon Borough Council’s child protection processes, having first experienced the model and its practice whilst working in West Berkshire. Jo has been training both internal staff and managers as well as multi agency colleagues since 2009.
Over the last three years she has returned to frontline child protection management both as a Referral and Assessment Team Manager and a Child Protection Conference Chair, using signs of safety in individual and group supervision sessions but most importantly where it has its most significant impact with families and professionals looking at how children can be made safer within their own networks.
