This full day online workshop is aimed at child protection workers, social workers, professionals and supervisors to deepen and practice skills in using a questioning approach in child welfare cases. This workshop focuses on sharpening skills in using a stance of inquiry and questioning process that will lead to quick analysis in risk assessment and long-term safety plans with children, youth and families.
Participants are encouraged to come with cases in their practice that will be worked through live in the workshop.
The content of the workshop will focus on:
- Learning different types of questions used in the Signs of Safety
- Sharpening skills in curious inquiry for risk assessment and safety planning
- Asking questions that demonstrates curiosity and honours those that we are working with
- Crafting questions in a way that facilitates the gathering of information to make risk intelligent decisions
The workshop is facilitated by Cynthia McLeod and Theresa Vinokuroff licensed Signs of Safety trainers and consultants.
