Two day all new workshop: Signs of Safety, Mapping and Safety Planning. This participative, skills-focused workshop will cover using the Signs of Safety assessment and planning framework and look at the skills and tools of on-the-ground safety planning that makes children safe in their everyday lives. The 3rd International Signs of Safety Gathering held on March 29 to 31 in Chaska Minnesota was a huge success. The Gathering featured presentations from agencies using the approach in North America and around the world. Video and PowerPoint shows from each presentation are now available on the Minnesota Gathering page.
Andrew will present at the 13th Japanese Child Abuse Prevention Symposium and International Congress with practitioners from Carver County Minnesota.

Two Signs of Safety Gatherings will be held in 2011. On May 2 to 4 2011 we will hold a Western Australian Gathering and on September 5 to 7 we will be holding the Fourth International Signs of Safety Gathering in Zeeland, The Netherlands.
We are delighted to announce Andrew Turnell's new DVD and workbook, Effective Safety Planning in Child Protection Casework. The DVD and workbook are built around many case examples and guide professionals through the entire process of working together with families to create safety plans that are owned and implemented by the family themselves.
